Caroline has been the Rotary Foundation Scholar for 2015/2016 mentored by our club.

Caroline and her husband, Andrew, visited the club to say goodbye prior to their departure to the USA to visit family.

In a talk to club members she reflected on their stay in London.

Caroline has just completed her MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies at the London School of Economics and will be returning briefly in late November/early December to attend a graduation ceremony for her MSc. Prior to attending the LSE Caroline spent two years with a non-government charitable organisation (NGO) in rural Pakistan. Her responsibility was to establish schools to provide education to girls who would not otherwise have an opportunity for education. Caroline gave a presentation on her work in Pakistan during one of her earlier visits to the club.

In January Caroline and Andrew will be off to Nepal for three years for an assignment based in Kathmandu involving basic education and literacy as well as humanitarian emergencies. In the last twelve months Nepal has been suffering from the after effects of a terrible earthquake.

The club wishes both Caroline and Andrew well for the future and hope that they will visit the club if visiting London again
