Members of the club helped out at the Roding Valley Half Marathon organised by Woodford Green Athletics Club. With the race starting at 9:00 am, on a Sunday morning, the helpers had to be about for a very early to set up the water station in Chigwell at the 4 mile and the 11 mile marker, with the runners passing through twice. Two other club members, not in the photo, Tom Hunt and Cowsi Magol (a member of Woodford Green AC), were busy collecting the bottles thrown away by the runners. Woodford Green AC sent their grateful thanks to the club helping out on the day as without volunteers like these the race could not have taken place.
